Depapepe Passion Of Gradation Rare

After reading few months ago, I was determined to make myself an obento お弁当 some day. An obento is a Japanese set lunch box with rice and all sorts of yummy stuff in it. Most Japanese kids take obento made by their mum to school. It is a joy to open these lunch boxes not only because the food in an obento are elaborate and adorable, but most importantly they are made with love and care. Up until today, in my cooking history, I have never made a Japanese obento. The reasons for this are firstly the lack of time, secondly the lack of experience, and thirdly nobody to make one for. Well, I discussed this topic yesterday night with and she gave me a brilliant idea of making an obento that resembles Mog. Stupid me!

Why didn’t I think of that? So this is a recipe that I thought up as a beginner. Please try it and tell me if you like it or not.

Mog’s Obento モーグリのお弁当 Ingredients needed to make Mog: • 2 cups of short-grain rice (preferably Koshihikari rice)* • 3 tablespoon sushi vinegar* • 2 sheets Japanese Nori seaweed* • 1 Aka Umeboshi (Japanese red pickled plum)* • 1 cherry tomato • 1 teaspoon Sakura Denbu (pink seasoned cod fish powder)* • 1 slice of ham • 1 teapoon salt * All these ingredients can be purchased in good Asian groceries. • Cook rice in rice cooker. Next you need to come up with a design of Mog to make a stencil. I chose the following picture of Mog: • Magnify your design on your computer screen. The dimension should fit in the container/lacquer box that you will be using for the Mog’s body. Place a piece of paper on your computer screen and sketch an outline of the design. For your convienience, I have drawn a stencil which can be downloaded from.

• Cut out your Mog design on the piece of paper as a stencil. • Use the stencil to cut out Mog design on the seaweed (Note: I find cutting two pieces of seaweed easier than just one). • Once rice is cooked, add sushi vinegar and salt to rice. Tightly pack the sushi rice to your container/lacquer box so that it is half-filled. • Let the rice stand cool. Place the seaweed cut-out on top of the rice. (Note: If the rice is still warm, the steam from the rice will shrink the seaweed). • Cut out extra seaweed and ham for Mog’s eyes and wings. The cherry tomato is for Mog’s pom-pom. The pickled plum is for Mog’s nose. And the cod powder is for Mog’s ears. Side dishes: You can put whatever you like as side dishes in the obento, but they should be strong in flavor and keep well for a long period of time (high in salt, sugar, or vinegar).

These are the side dishes I used • Unagi • Sweet corn, brocollini, and avocado salad with Kewpie mayonaise • Mini frankfurt cut into the shape of an octopus – cross-cut one end of the sausage so the four 'tentacles' split open when panfried. Use a fork to poke little holes into the sausages and stuff them with snow pea sprouts or sesame seeds. • Knackwurst cut into the shape of a crab – Cut the sausage lengthwise in half, then give 4 parallel cuts on both ends of the sausage so that the 'claw and the legs' will split open when panfried.

Use a fork to poke little holes into the sausages and stuff them with snow pea sprouts or sesame seeds. • Omelette cooked into the shape of a seastar – Use a non-stick star-shaped cookie baking tray to cook the omelette • Caramelized potato with balsamic vinegar – Cut 1 large potato into cubes and cook them in some oil. When the potato cubes are golden brown, add 4 tablespoon of sugar. Continuously swivel the potato cubes in the pan until the sugar caramelized.

Then add 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar and 1 teaspoon of soy sauce. Stir for another 30 seconds.

(Note: Vinegar must be added at the end or else the potatoes will become denatured). • Lettuces and lemon slices for garnish And the final product? Sensational~~~ Itatakimasu! (Note: Mog ate his pom-pom, not me!!). I had my first floristy lesson yesterday and it was so~~ exciting! Using a glass vase, I learnt how to create a dramatic arrangement using tropical flowers. I have never seen or even heard of some these tropical flowers before so the lecture yesterday was definitely an eye-opener for me.

An arrangement of tropical flowers is perfect for both indoor and outdoor, both home and corporate. Here I provide the step-by-step procedures to create such arrangement. Let’s learn it together, okay? Basic materials • 3 Heliconia • 3~4 Vanda orchids • 3~5 Molucca balms • 2~3 Monstera leaves • 2~5 Cordyline leaves Common name: Lobster claws or parrot flowers Colour: Red, orange yellow, or pink. Description: The actual flowers are tiny and inside the 'beaks'.

Some less-common species may have furry beaks. The variety shown here has single-beak, upright-facing flowers. Some variety called hanging heliconia have flowers which dangle down from the main stem. Caring tips: These flowers can last for weeks. Give the ends a good nip at an angle and change water every two days. Color: A wide range of shades some with spots.

Description: Elegant five petalled flowers, several to a stem. Caring tips: These flowers can last for weeks.

They like cool air and regular misting, and are sensitive to ethylene gas so keep them away from fruit, vegetables and dying flowers. Snip off old flower heads. Common name: Bells of Ireland Description: The green 'bells' that cluster along the stems are actually the calyxes (the leafy coverings that protect the flower buds).

Small white flowers will open inside the bells like tiny clappers. Caring Tips: These leaves can last up to a week. They like bright or shady positions but do not place them under direct sunlight. Give the ends a good nip anywhere along the stem except the nodes. Common name: Swiss cheese plant. Description: The leaves are dark green, glossy and rounded or heart-shaped when young. The characteristic split edges and holes appear when mature.

Caring Tips: These leaves can last up to a week. They like bright or shady positions but do not place them under direct sunlight. Give the ends a good nip at an angle and change water every two days. They also like humid conditions so mist regularly. Common name: Cabbage tree or palm lily Description: Single-stem plant with attactive sword-shaped leaves in a loose rosette. Caring Tips: These leaves can last to up to a week.

They like bright or shady positions but do not place them under direct sunlight. Give the ends a good nip at an angle and change water every two days. They also like humid conditions so mist regularly. Remove leaves as they die. Keypoints • In general, any flowers or foliages which are below the waterline must be removed.

Leaves in water will promote bacterial microbial growth that may limit water uptake by the flower. • Remove all damaged petals and leaves. Eliminate any broken or beheaded stems. • For most stems, cut the ends at an angle to increase the water absorption area. Immediately put them into water after cutting or else the ends will seal off and decrease in its absorbability. • Keep flowers in a cool spot away from direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, under ceiling fans, or on top of televisions or radiators.

• Keep the vase filled (or floral foam soaked) with water containing flower preservatives. The preservatives contain nutrients for the flowers and disinfectants for the water which will increase the life of the flowers. The flower preservatives should not be diluted with more water than is specified on the packet. Method First we need to note that in any floral arrangement, the different components can be seperated into: • Transitional – Filler flowers, foliage for ouitline and supporting transitional role (e.g. Monstera leaves, Cordyline leaves), • Focal flowers – Dominant either by color, texture, form, shape, or size (e.g. Vanda orchids, Molucca balms), • Line flowers – Straight and strong (e.g. Heliconia) You should almost always arrange your flowers in this order.

And remember, there is no right or wrong in floral arrangement. It is all up to your personal taste! So go ahead and try!

Step 1: Fill the empty vase with water. Use a Monstera leaf or several Cordyline leaves to line the insde of the vase*.

For variations, you can tie several leaves together on the outside instead of submerging them inside. Step 2: Start working on the foliages by arranging the Monstera and Cordyline leaves to form the basic supporting/transitional component. Step 3: Next add the Molucca balms and Vanda orchids to the arrangement. Depending on your taste, you might like to spread them out randomly.

Otherwise, you can put them in groups so that it creates a stronger contrast in texture and colors (European style). Step 4: Finally add the Heliconia to the arrangement. The height of the heliconia can be adjusted for different effect.

This is my tropical floral arrangement at home. Isn’t it great for a beginner? Please say yes! This basic technique can be applied to any floral arrangement using other materials.

Here is a variation of tropical floral arrangement where pineapples, lemons, limes, lotus pods were used. The possibilites are endless! * This will reduce the life of the flowers but creates a more natural effect. And he brought back alot of goodies too. He even bought back a new album by the Japanese guitar duo – Depapepe which will be available in Japan on 18th of May. This is the first time I’ve heard about Depapepe.

Here is a translation of a of Depapepe from their: On November of 2002, Tokuoka Yoshinari (age 27) and Miura Takuya (age 22) formed the group 'Depapepe'. Imagine going from Kobe, then to Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, you will immediately get the image of these two boys. With the use of two acoustic guitars only, they express images of scenery, happiness and sadness, with heart-soothing sounds and easy-listening melodies that creates a therapuetic space where we can sympathsize in.

Their music demonstrates the vastness of the instrumental market. Takuoka shows his talents as a maker of a style of melody that is growing in popularity and Miura courageously expresses his emotions yet in a delicate manner with his guitar. Without a poem, Depapepe chants with their acoustic guitars! After the release of their first two albums, Depapepe have performed in numerous television and radio programs, live event. You can feel like 'the king of the world' for a brief period of time and then feel like an idiot when a better product comes out. Classic examples include the 380,000 yen (or USD$3,600) released in June 2003.

Nowadays, you can get a camera more powerful and just as small for a tenth of the price. And who can forget the other good example – the 315,000 yen (or USD$3,000) 1.10 GHz with carbon fiber casing? Well, guess what?

Sony Vaio Japan today announced new models for its. One of them – the Vaio VGN-T92S will be available in 'Carbon Black' with carbon fiber casing in addition to the original 'Midnight Blue', 'Burgundy Brown', and the new 'Frosty Silver'. The advantage of carbon fiber casing is that they are half the weight yet twice the strength of conventional magnesium alloy casing. Of course the Vaio VGN-T92S will not be as thin as X505 and will be running with a similar speed processor but it is still very compact. Also it will come with inbuilt CD-RW/DVD-rom, 256 Mb ram, 40Gb hard drive, and a standard battery that can run for 7 hours maximum. The model will be priced at 156,800 yen (or USD $1,500) and will be on sale on the 21st of May through only. Sony Japan Vaio T Official Website: Sonystyle Japan Vaio T Official Website.

I think I lost Mog! I was talking to him just this morning but now I have no idea where he went!! Please contact me if you find him. Name: Mog Physical Description: Mog looks like a round cuddly teddy bear with fluffy white fur, cat-like ears, purple wings, and an antenna with a red pom-pom sticking atop his head. He has cat-like feet too, though you probably will have difficulty seeing them as they are short and stumpy. Last time I measured Mog, he has a body diameter of 10 cm and a height of 13 cm. Personality: Mog tends to return acts of kindness with more acts of kindness, even if it annoys other people (I know ).

Mog rarely gets to interact with the human race, so he can be very uptight especially if surrounded by strangers. By nature, Mog is very magically inclined and likes to stay intune with his surroundings. Language: Despite being bounded by his natural habitat, Mog knows almost every language used by the human race. However, Mog usually speaks with his friends or contact them via Mognet (nowadays he uses MSN Messenger 7.0) using his native language. Interestingly, the language is made up of only several volcabularies.

And the most common word in the language is 'Kupo'. Kupo is a word that can mean many things.

Some examples include: • As a noun – I’m feeling Kupo! • As a verb – Kupo you too! • As a past participle – He is kupo’d • As an adjective – You like kupo bundt cake too?

• As a preposition – Kupo good! • As an exclamation – Kupo!! • As an onomatopoeia – Kupopo!

I love kupo nuts! • As a superlative – I think I Kupo Kupo like you. It is still a mystery to the scientific community how Mog manage to communicate with his friends with this strange form of language. Research on this topic is still being undertaken. Favourite food: Kupo nuts – these nuts are rare. Favourite sport: Mog likes to flap his wings and fly slowly, almost like floating in air, in circles.

Favourite hobby: Mog likes to give command and instructions to others. He also likes sleeping, ritual dance, and using Mognet. Bad Habits: As far as I know, Mog often leaves home in search for his favourite food – Kupo nuts. He will do anything for this delacacy which really bugs me. They can act a bit haphazard at times as well. Grrr Please help me find him! On Tuesday 3rd May, ‘s Elle Starkman and Andrew Post-Zwicker won the first-place prize for their photographic submission, 'Dusty Table,' in the 'Art of Science' Competition at Princeton University.

More than 200 submissions were received. The competition strove to combine aesthetic excellence with scientific interest. Barn Buddy Clicker Free Download. Elle’s and Andrew’s joint artwork is on display at the Friend’s Center for Engineering Education, along with the rest of the top 50. Audience were observing the winning pieces of scientific artwork in the Art of Science Competition on display in the Friend Center.

Elle Starkman and Andrew Post-Zwicker The photograph was described by the some of the audiences as 'looked like dust bunnies stirring on the surface of a table-like stainless steel structure. A downward-pointing triangle of particles floats above. All are bathed in a bright red glow.' Afterwards, Post Zwicker explained that the glow in the photograph is due to the illumination of the bright laser.

He also added that the plasma that is partially responsible for charging the dust is invisible in the background of the photograph, but it would glow a faint blue if the laser were not present. 'Dust Table' by Elle Starkman and Andrew Post-Zwicker – A dust cloud of silicon microspheres suspended in a plasma was illuminated by laser light. The dust cloud is approximately 0.5 inches high and floats in a conical shape between the dust tray and an electrode. Fundamental dust cloud properties and dynamics have applications from plasma processing to space plasmas.

Second place was awarded to Anton Darhuber, a research staff member in the electrical engineering department, and third place to Stephen Pratt, a research staff member in the ecology and evolutionary biology department. The original pool consisted of 200 works submitted from 15 departments. 'Driven' by Anton Darhuber – illustrates evolving dynamical patterns formed during the spreading of a surface-active substance (surfactant) over a thin liquid film on a silicon wafer. Other projects ranged from a photograph of spider genitalia to a telescopic image of the Horsehead Nebula. Clay Bavor ’05 and Jesse Levinson ’05, both computer science majors, created a composite image of the average Princeton student. Visual arts professor Andrew Moore and Kati Lovasz of comparative literature, who helped organize the competition, said the exhibit highlighted something art and science share.

'Images are such a common language,' Moore said. 'It’s so rich and so diverse.' Lovasz said she was pleased with the interest in the exhibition. 'When people were arriving, they would go to the pictures first and then go the food,' she said.

'That’s unusual.' Darhuber’s second-place image, 'Driven,' shows patterns formed by a surface-active substance spreading over a thin liquid film on a silicon wafer. His study of hydrodynamic instabilities not only applies to the mechanism of the lung, but also exhibits a swirl of different shades of blue against a dark background. Moore noted that a large percentage of the entries came from women.

'It kind of shatters the myth that there aren’t women in the sciences,' he said. Dean of Engineering and Applied Science Maria Klawe was pleased with the exhibit.

It seems like that many sciences students in the field of complex plasma has the potential to become artists as well. We scientists, unlike the conventional image protrayed by the general public, are not nerds wearing white lab coats doing weird experiments.

We have other talents too!! Obtained on the release date for Nintendo next generation gaming console – Nintendo Revolution from an earnings announcement by Monolithic Systems Technology Inc (or MoSys).

Mark Voll, Interim CEO and Chief Financial Officer of MoSys said during the announcement, 'NEC Electronics will now use our 1T-SRAM embedded memory technologies on their advanced 90nm process, and that the initial designs to be incorporated in SoCs will be used in Nintendo’s next-generation game console, code-named Revolution. We are excited to be a participating member of the Nintendo team once again as Nintendo will roll out its successor game console to the GameCube in mid-2006.' In summary, here are the estimated release dates for the next generation gaming consoles from the various companies: • Microsoft Xbox360 – October/November 2005 • Nintendo Revolution – Mid-2006 • Sony PlayStation 3 – Late 2006.
